Bengal Institute of Business Studies, popularly known as BIBS Kolkata is a premier business school of West Bengal. It is a private college that came into existence in 2008. It is affiliated to the Vidyasagar University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade “A” The college has been rated as the only business school in West Bengal with “B++” by CRISIL. Times of India ranked BIBS for consecutively three years in the top 3 business schools in Kolkata. It was also awarded the “Best Education Brand” by Economic Times. The college has been visited by well-known personalities for their “Management Guest Inspire Series” including Kapil Dev, APJ Abdul Kalam, Jhulan Goswami, Chetan Bhagat, Philip Kotler, etc.

BIBS Kolkata, one of the top-notch business schools of West Bengal offers MBA in several specializations like Business Management, Industry Integrated Business Management, Digital Marketing, Financial Management, Executive Management, etc.

Candidates applying for any program offered by the BIBS Kolkata must have a valid score in CAT/XAT or MAT along with being a graduate. If the candidates has not appeared for any of the mentioned entrances, then they have to appear for BIBSAT (entrance conducted by the BIBS) 

BIBS Kolkata Admissions

BIBS Kolkata accepts admission based on the merit and entrance. Entrances accepted by BIBS Kolkata are CAT/XAT/MAT and BIBSAT. Candidates who wish to apply for admission in BIBS Kolkata need to follow the given instructions:

  1. Candidates need to fill in the application form available on the official website of the college. Candidates can also visit the college to seek application form offline. 
  2. The basic details of the applicant need to be filled such as Name, Course Interested in, Email ID, Phone Number, Qualification, etc.
  3. Once the application has been filled, students will be redirected to the payment page for the application fee. 
  4. Make the payment of the application fee of Rs 600 and print the application form.
  5. Candidates need to courier the application form along with the demand draft of Rs 700 in the name of“Bengal Institute of Business Studies” payable at Kolkata, to the following address: Bengal Institute of Business Studies, 18D, Lake View Road, and Kolkata – 700029
  6. Keep a copy of the application form for future reference with yourself. 

Attach the following documents with the application form - 

  • One color passport size photograph needs to be attached in the application form and two more photographs need to be sent with it separately. 
  • Attach photocopies of 10th & 12th mark sheets.
  • Attach a photocopy of the graduation certificate (if applicable)
  • Attach a photocopy of the XAT/CAT/MAT mark sheet (if applicable).
  • Work experience certificate (if any)

BIBS Kolkata Placements

The college has a dedicated placement cell that ensures the students get placed in top firms. The placement cell has strong connections with top corporates in west Bengal, also through their “National Placement Network” (NPN) the college is able to reach various HR Heads of MNCs. The network is not limited to India but to various foreign countries such as the UK, USA, Middle East and South East Asia. The placement cell of the institute is divided in 3 tiers according to which the placement cell works. The tiers are Local Network, National Presence, and International Reach. The placement procedure of the institute has four stages mentioned below:

College: Its been 21 days with BIBS and having a great experience... I think this the place where you will be transformed from a simple graduate to a more responsible corporate leader by some well planed psychological system . If you are really conscious about your self and want to be perfect some day You just need to attend the collage everyday and grooming will be done automatically... This is it for now ,still 1.11 years to go............
