NEST 2019: Registration Closes Soon, know who can apply

The National Entrance Screening Test, popularly known as NEST will be conducted on June 1, 2019. The online application process for NEST 2019 has already commenced and the candidates seeking to appear for NEST 2019 must visit the official website of NEST at nestexam.in before March 11, 2019, to apply for the examination.
About NEST 2019:
NEST is a National Level entrance examination conducted for admission to institutes that are established by the Department of Atomic Energy i.e. National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science (UM DAE CEBS), University of Mumbai. NEST 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on June 1, 2019. The examination will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session will commence from 9 am onwards whereas Afternoon session will begin at 2:30 pm. The time duration of the examination will be 3 hours 30 minutes.
Who can Apply for NEST 2019?
Following is the Eligibility Criteria of NEST 2019:
Education Requirement:
- The candidate must have passed class XII in the year 2017 or 2018.
- The candidate must possess a minimum of 60 percent aggregate in class XII.
- A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the reserved category.
Age Requirements:
- The candidate should not be more than 20 years old as on August 1, 2019.
- A relaxation of 5 years is provided to the candidates of the reserved category.
How to Apply for NEST 2019?
Following is the NEST Application Procedure:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NEST at nestexam.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Online’ link available on the homepage
Step 3: If you are applying for the examination for the first time then register yourself and if you have already registered then log in using your credentials
Step 4: Fill the required information such as personal details, contact details, academic details etc.
Step 5: Upload the scanned copy of your passport size photograph and signature
Step 6: Fill the NEST Application Fee
Step 7: Check the details mentioned on the confirmation page and take a print out for further references
