About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Develop webhook listener endpoints (in PHP/Node.js) to receive shipment updates from courier companies.
2. Parse webhook payloads and update the Shiplee database (orders, tracking tables) with the latest status.
3. Implement cronjob-based tracking scripts for couriers that do not provide webhooks, ensuring regular polling of their APIs (e.g., every 30–60 minutes).
4. Normalize different courier tracking responses into a standard format for consistency.
5. Ensure reliability and fault tolerance: handle retries, duplicate events, and webhook downtime gracefully.
6. Work closely with the frontend team to expose tracking data via REST APIs for the merchant dashboard and Shopify/WooCommerce integrations.
7. Write clear documentation and maintain GitHub commits for all webhook/cronjob modules
