About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Support
Job Postings: Drafting, posting, updating, and removing job advertisements on various job boards, career pages, and social media.
Candidate Management: Screening resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates.
Interview Coordination: Scheduling and confirming interviews with shortlisted candidates and hiring managers.
Candidate Communication: Preparing and sending out correspondence, such as interview invitations, job offers, and rejection letters/emails.
2. HR Administration and Data Management
Record Keeping: Maintaining and accurately updating both electronic and manual employee files (personnel records) with new hire details, contact information, and employment forms.
HRIS/Database Management: Performing data entry and updates in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) or other HR databases, including information on attendance, leave, and benefits.
Documentation: Assisting in preparing, proofreading, and distributing HR-related documents, such as contracts, offer letters, and internal memos.
Filing: Organizing and archiving confidential HR documents, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
3. Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle
New Hire Orientation: Assisting in coordinating and facilitating new employee orientations and induction programs.
Paperwork Processing: Ensuring all necessary new hire paperwork (like I-9 forms, tax forms, etc.) is completed and processed accurately.
Offboarding: Assisting with the administrative tasks related to employee exits (offboarding) and separation.
4. Employee Relations and Communications
Inquiries: Responding to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits (e.g., number of remaining vacation days), escalating complex issues to senior HR staff.
Communication: Assisting with drafting and distributing internal communications about policy changes, company announcements, or HR initiatives.
5. Other Projects and General Support
Research: Conducting research on HR best practices, labor laws, industry trends, and compensation data to support larger HR projects.
Events: Assisting with the planning, organization, and logistics for company events, employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, or career fairs.
Reports: Compiling data and assisting with the preparation of HR reports for management (e.g., headcount, turnover, training budgets).
