About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:Market Research & Lead Generation
1. Research potential international markets, buyers, and distributors.
2. Analyze competitor activities and pricing trends in global markets.
3. Identify and qualify leads through online platforms, trade portals, and databases.
Sales Support & Client Engagement
1. Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations.
2. Support communication with international clients via email, phone, and virtual meetings.
3. Maintain CRM database with updated client information and interactions.
Export & Trade Documentation
1. Learn and support in preparing export documents (Proforma Invoice, Packing List, Shipping documents, etc.).
2. Coordinate with logistics partners for shipments, customs, and compliance.
3. Understand Incoterms, payment terms (LC, TT), and basic export regulations.
Marketing & Promotion
1. Assist in creating sales materials, brochures, and presentations for international clients.
2. Support digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, B2B platforms, trade portals).
3. Research and suggest international exhibitions or trade fairs for participation.
Reporting & Analysis
1. Track sales activities and prepare weekly reports for the management.
2. Analyze customer feedback and suggest improvements in service or communication.
3. Monitor KPIs related to international sales performance.
Learning Outcomes
1. Gain practical knowledge of international trade, export documentation, and sales processes.
2. Develop business communication skills for dealing with international clients.
3. Exposure to global markets, business development strategies, and cross-cultural sales practices.
1. Educational Background: MBA / BBA / Commerce / International Business students or graduates preferred.
2. Language Skills: Knowledge of additional foreign languages (such as Spanish, French, Arabic, or Mandarin) will be an added advantage for global client communication.
3. Export Knowledge: Basic understanding of Incoterms, international payments, shipping & customs clearance.
4. Digital Tools: Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or B2B trade platforms (Alibaba, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, etc.).
5. Cultural Awareness: Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds with cultural sensitivity.
6. Analytical Skills: Comfortable with market analysis, data research, and preparing sales reports.
7. Proactive & Result-Oriented: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of taking initiative.
8. Availability: Minimum internship period of 3–6 months preferred for meaningful exposure.
