About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Design Support:
1. Assisting in preparing mood boards and design presentations.
2. Researching materials, finishes, and furniture options within project budgets.
3. Supporting drafting layouts and drawings on AutoCAD/SketchUp.
B. Site Work:
1. Accompanying senior designers on site visits for measurements and supervision.
2. Documenting site progress with photos, notes, and updates.
3. Coordinating with contractors/vendors for deliveries and installations.
C. Vendor & Material Coordination:
1. Sourcing samples of fabrics, finishes, and materials from local markets/showrooms.
2. Maintaining an organized material library (catalogs, samples, swatches).
3. Following up with vendors on quotations and timelines.
D. Project Documentation:
1. Preparing project files (BOQs, quotations, checklists, and schedules).
2. Updating and maintaining drawings, revisions, and site records.
E. Client Interaction Support:
1. Assisting in setting up presentations/meetings with clients.
2. Taking notes during client discussions for team reference.
F. Office & Team Assistance:
1. Helping in preparing 3D visualizations or render touch-ups (if skilled).
2. Supporting social media/documentation of ongoing projects.
3. Organizing office documents, samples, and reference materials.
G. Learning & Development:
1. Shadowing seniors to learn design processes and project management.
2. Gaining exposure to Mumbai’s vendor network, pricing trends, and sourcing hubs.
