Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, process improvements, and contribute to the overall product quality. As a QA Intern, you will assist the team in identifying defects, running various types of tests, and contributing to the documentation of test results. You will learn and apply the principles of manual and automated testing under the mentorship of experienced QA professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing for software applications, ensuring the functionality and usability meet the required standards.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and potential risk areas.
• Assist in writing detailed reports of test results and defects.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing testing efforts and product improvements.
• Support the automation team with test script creation and execution (if applicable).
• Learn and apply best practices for software quality assurance.
• Participate in retrospectives and provide feedback for process improvements.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in software testing, quality assurance, and the development process.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to identify and document defects accurately.

 
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to or familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git is a plus.
