About the Internship
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to support our team on various redevelopment projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in core civil engineering principles, a keen interest in the practical aspects of construction, and the digital skills necessary to thrive in a modern engineering environment. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges in estimation, planning, and project coordination.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Estimation & Costing: Assist in the preparation of preliminary cost estimates, quantity take-offs (BOQ), and material schedules for redevelopment projects.
2. Project Planning: Support the project team in developing project schedules, monitoring progress, and updating project plans using relevant software tools.
3. Technical Communication: Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and daily progress updates. Liaise with team members and other stakeholders under the guidance of senior engineers.
4. FSH Calculations: Apply knowledge to calculate FSH (Floor Space Index/Housing) as per local regulations, a critical component for redevelopment project feasibility and planning.
5. Utilize essential civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar) for drafting and planning.
6. Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis, creating trackers, and performing complex calculations.
7. Digital Marketing Support: Contribute to the company's online presence by assisting with content creation for social media, blog posts, and website updates related to our projects and company expertise.
