About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:As a Video Editing & Social Media Intern for Mariner Premier League – Season 5, you will:
Content Curation & Archiving
1. Explore our archive (10 TB+ of past seasons) to identify exciting moments, highlights, and nostalgia clips.
2. Tag and organize footage for easy retrieval.
Video/Reel Editing
1. Create daily reels/highlight edits using tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
2. Add engaging captions, transitions, background music, and text overlays.
3. Adapt edits for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
Content Calendar Execution
1. Follow the posting schedule (1–2 reels per day).
2. Assist in brainstorming fresh content ideas — countdowns, player moments, fan edits, memes, behind-the-scenes, etc.
Social Media Publishing Support
1. Format and export videos in platform-specific resolutions.
2. Coordinate with the social media manager for captions, hashtags, and posting times.
Creative Input
1. Suggest creative ways to build buzz (trivia edits, throwbacks, fun challenges).
2. Stay updated on current Instagram/Reels trends in sports & entertainment.
Collaboration & Feedback
1. Join weekly content review meetings.
2. Incorporate mentor feedback into edits.
3. Share work-in-progress for approvals before publishing.
Learning & Growth
1. Gain hands-on experience in sports content marketing.
2. Experiment with editing styles to match fan engagement trends.
3. Build a strong sports video editing portfolio.
