About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Editing videos for social media using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and CapCut
2. Utilizing keyboard shortcuts and efficient workflows to speed up the editing process
3. Cleaning background noise, balancing audio levels, and syncing voiceovers or music tracks
4. Applying audio adjustments using Audition, Reaper, or built-in EQ/compression tools
5. Performing basic video corrections, including exposure, contrast, and white balance
6. Creating advanced cinematic looks, applying LUTs, and setting mood through color grading
7. Designing basic titles, lower thirds, and transitions for video content
8. Using After Effects or Motion to create animations
9. Organizing media files, creating proxies for large projects, and maintaining version control
10. Exporting videos in optimized formats for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Reels
11. Storytelling Sense
12. Cutting for rhythm, pacing, and emotion
13. Turning raw footage into a narrative that holds attention
Attention to Detail:
1. Spotting frame glitches, off-beat cuts, or audio sync issues
2. Ensuring transitions are smooth and purposeful
Timing & Rhythm:
1. Editing to music beats, pauses, or dramatic tension
2. Maintaining audience engagement in short vs. long formats
Design Eye:
1. Understanding typography, text placement, color psychology
2. Making visuals aesthetically appealing, not cluttered
Adaptability:
1. Different styles: cinematic, social media reels, corporate, documentary
2. Ability to adjust editing style to client’s brand/audience
