About the Job
A Research Associate supports the executive search and leadership hiring process by providing in-depth industry, company, and candidate research, with a special focus on senior management, leadership, and niche technical roles. The role is integral to building talent pipelines and supporting consultants in delivering high-calibre candidates for complex searches in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities-
1. Conduct comprehensive industry mapping, company profiling, and talent pool identification for leadership and niche hiring searches.
2. Develop and maintain longlists and shortlists of prospective candidates using databases (LinkedIn, internal databases, industry directories, etc.) and other sourcing tools.
3. Support search consultants by preparing high-quality candidate profiles, market insights, and research reports for client briefings.
4. Conduct primary and secondary market research to gather information on competitors, compensation trends, and talent moves.
5. Engage in initial candidate outreach for screening and scheduling interviews.
6. Track research activity and maintain an accurate candidate database.
7. Assist in business development by contributing to proposals and knowledge creation initiatives.
8. Ensure timely delivery of research assignments while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
9. Prepare presentations and summaries for both internal teams and clients.
Education-
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR, Market Research, or related field
Experience
2. 0-1 years in executive search, recruitment, market research, or talent acquisition
Communication Skills
3. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
4. Analytical Skills
5. Strong analytical and research ability; able to interpret qualitative & quantitative data
6. Research Tools Proficiency
7. Comfortable with LinkedIn Recruiter, Excel, PowerPoint, and research databases
Professional Qualities- Detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable in a deadline-driven setting
Additional Skills-
1. Knowledge of leadership hiring practices and niche skill domains is an advantage

2. Prior experience in executive or leadership hiring and familiarity with target industries (such as technology, finance, healthcare, etc.) will be a plus.
