About the Job
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:Fashion Designing Responsibilities:
A. Concept Development
1. Research fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and themes for upcoming seasons
2. Create mood boards and storyboards for collections
B. Design Execution
1. Sketch original clothing and accessory designs (by hand or using CAD)
2. Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and color palettes
C. Sample Development
1. Work with pattern makers and tailors to develop prototypes
2. Make adjustments based on fittings and feedback
D. Quality Control
Ensure samples and production pieces meet design and quality standards
Merchandising Responsibilities:
A. Range Planning
1. Plan product lines based on consumer demand, trends, and sales data
2. Coordinate between design, production, and sales teams
B. Inventory & Stock Control
1. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand
2. Work on reorders or markdown strategies if needed
C. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
1. Liaise with suppliers for fabrics, trims, and production timelines
2. Negotiate costs and manage sourcing logistics
Social Media & Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
A. Content Planning & Creation
1. Plan and create content for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
2. Work with photographers, models, and stylists on shoots
B. Posting & Engagement
1. Schedule and post content regularly
2. Respond to comments and DMs, build a community
C. Campaigns & Collaborations
1. Organize influencer collaborations, giveaways, or product launches
2. Promote new collections or sales
