Introduction
The Battle of Khanwa or the Khanwa War was fought in the year 1527 between Babur and Rana Sanga in order to establish the rule over North India. The war is considered an important war as this war the winner of this war helped in Mughals establish their rule in northern India. The Battle is known by this name due to the fact that it was fought in Khanwa which is near Agra.
Babur to expand his rule to the Punjab area tried various means like raiding the region twice but failed. Punjab was ruled by Ibrahim Lodi. he was successfully able to capture the region of Punjab in 1520-21. Now that he was able to capture the “Twin Gateways to Hindustan”, he was invited to capture Delhi by Daulat Khan. But the real intent of Daulat Khan was to capture Sialkot and betray Babur. But Babur was able to defeat him and became the lord of Punjab. And there was no stopping now as he went to win the battle against the Panipat kill the sultan capture Delhi and become the Mughal emperor.

The Battle of Panipat was a warning to Babur from Rana Sanga and the Afghans.
Babur sent his forces to the Dholpur, Bayana and Gwalior. He won at Bayana by defeating Rana Sanga. But in all the other battles Rana Sanga came out to be victorious.
Khanwa War: Strategies Involved
Rana Sanga with the help of his allies built a strong Army. this army included the forces of Sirohi, Jalor, Shundhar, Harauti, Rao Medini and Dungarpur. The people involved in the war were Rao Ganga's son Maldev Rathore, Mahmud Lodi and Khanzada Hasan Khan Mewati who were enemies of Babur and also joined hands.
Chandra also joined with the intent to exile Babur.
Since the force that Rana Sanga built was strong, Babur used technical strategies to win the war. Digging trenches protected by flanks. The carts held falconets, foot musketeers, and mortars, from which the Rajput monarch could easily shoot. The strongest horsemen supported the entire team.
When the war happened, the forces of Rana were not able to break the Mughals, one of the allies Sihadi betrayed Rana and one bullet shot made Rana unconscious. After looking at the defensive strategies of Rana and his allies Babur struck at the weak points and was able to easily win.

Babur won the Battle of Khanwa solely due to his superior planning and tactics. However, Rajput's crew included a large number of army personnel. Following Sihadi's defection, the Rajput warriors lost their true power and largely altered their original plan. Following the decisive battle of Khanwa, Rajput leader Rana Sanga completely crumbled, resulting in the Rajput authority becoming exceedingly weak. Following the fall of the Rajputs, the Mughal monarch Babur quickly conquered Northern India.
