Latest Update: The conducting authority announced that the final cutoff date for all types of admissions in the HSTES 2024 B.Tech Course, including B.Tech Lateral Entry, was September 15, 2024. The deadline for uploading admissions information on the portal was September 18, 2023. The HSTES 2023 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result was made available on August 25, 2023. Candidates were required to physically report to their allocated institute for Round 2 between August 28 and August 31, 2023. Registration for the HSTES 2023 Round 2 counseling, aimed at admissions to B.E./B.Tech. courses for the 2023–24 session, commenced on August 14, 2023, and concluded on August 20, 2023.

In contrast, the HSTES Counseling 2023 Round 1 seat allotment results were disclosed on August 11, 2023. The last day for online registration for HSTES counseling was July 30, 2023, at 4 PM. This registration process commenced on June 7, 2023, and was applicable to all categories, including TFW, EWS, KM, and HGST, through the official website techadmissionshry.gov.in.

What is HSTES?

HSTES stands for Haryana State Technical Education Society, and the Department of Technical Education, Haryana, oversees the admission process. They conduct two online off-campus counseling sessions based on the inter-se-merit of JEE Main to admit candidates into BE/BTech/BArch programs, including those eligible for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates. To register for admission through HSTES, candidates are required to possess an Aadhaar Number (or Enrolment number). In cases where candidates do not have an Aadhaar Number (or Enrolment number), they can use alternative documents such as a passport, bank account, or any other valid government identity number. However, it is essential to provide the Aadhaar Number within one month after reporting at the institute.

HSTES B.Tech Counselling 2023: Procedure

To participate in the HSTES Counselling B.Tech 2023, candidates need to be familiar with the process involved. Those whose names appear on the official merit list are eligible to participate. The following are the steps involved in the Haryana B.Tech 2023 counselling and seat allotment process:

Step 1: Counselling fees for participation

  • To participate in the HSTES B.Tech counselling 2023, candidates are required to pay a participation fee of Rs.500 either online or offline. 
  • The fee can be paid using credit/debit cards, net banking, or through an e-challan at any branch of Punjab National Bank or Axis Bank. 
  • The payment of the participation fee is mandatory before registering for Haryana B.Tech counselling 2023. 
  • Upon payment, candidates will receive a unique 'Roll Number' that they must use throughout the counselling and admission process.

Step 2: Counselling Registration

Once the participation fee has been paid, candidates for B.Tech are required to register for Haryana Counselling 2023. During the registration process, they will need to provide basic information as indicated below.

  • Course details
  • Eligibility for Haryana domicile

  • Sub-Category

Note: Once all the required information has been entered, candidates need to click on the 'Registration Confirmation' link to complete the registration process.

Step 3: Preference of institutes

After completing the successful registration for Haryana B.Tech Counselling 2023, candidates need to log in using their user ID and password. They will then have to select their preferred institutes for seat allotment. Candidates are advised to fill in as many choices as possible to increase their chances of getting a seat. Before the last date, candidates must lock their choices. For every round of Haryana B.Tech Counselling 2023, candidates can make fresh choices for institute preference.

Step 4: HSTES B.Tech Seat Allocation

The authorities responsible for Haryana B.Tech Counselling and seat allotment 2023 conduct the allotment of seats online. To check their Haryana B.Tech 2023 seat allotment result, candidates must log in using their user ID and password. Candidates who have been allotted a seat will also be issued a Haryana B.Tech seat allotment letter. The provisional seat allotment letter must be downloaded, which contains information about the allotted institute, the name of the branch, and the date of reporting to the institute. Those who wish to upgrade their seats must wait for the next round of counselling and report to the institute after fresh allotment.

Step 5: Reporting to the Institutes

After the Haryana B.Tech counselling and seat allotment results for 2023 are announced, candidates who are satisfied with their allocation must confirm their admission by reporting to the institute they have been allotted and submitting the required admission fees. To demonstrate their eligibility, they must carry all necessary documents.
