NIT Rourkela is one of the top of the 31 NITs present in India situated in Orissa. It provides B.Tech. in 12 disciplines and PG in four different courses. The different courses provided by the NIT Rourkela are:

NIT Rourkela UG Courses
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate should have attained 17 years of age on the date of admission.
- The candidate seeking admission in the B.Tech. from NIT Rourkela should have done XII from a recognized board/institute/school with at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry.
- The candidate should be in the top 20 Percentile of XII according to the merit in XII.
Admission Procedure:
- The admission in the B.Tech. provided by the NIT Rourkela is done on the basis of merit obtained in the JEE Main.
- The final merit is made on the basis of merit obtained in the XII(40%) and merit obtained in JEE Main(60%).
- The seat allotment is done through counseling done by JoSSA-CSAB.

NIT Rourkela PG Courses
Eligibility Criteria:

MBA | The candidate seeking admission in the MBA should have done Graduation from a recognized college/institute in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate. |
M.Sc. | The candidate seeking admission in the M.Sc. should have done B.Sc. from a recognized university/institute with at least 50% aggregate. |
MA | The candidate should have done Bachelors from a recognized college/institute. |

NIT Rourkela : One of the best NIT 4/5
Pros: Best Infrastructure Nice Accommodation and Canteen Facilities Nice Club Culture and other extra co-curricular activities Friendly and Approachable professors Cons: They are opening new branches without having proper faculty or MoUs with industries and other universities. As a result of which, students of these branches are either going to IT sector, or if they have money then to higher studies in foreign or most of them being jobless.

Excellent college 5/5
College is amazing i miss those days being part of NITR was awesome, the quality of education is excellent here, the hostel standard is also good. Core studies are very important here, I gave AIEEE exam that time and opted for this NIT as it has good infra, studies, placements.

College is really awesome ,I gave AIEEE exam to get admission here, it was near to my place so i took admission here, the infra is good.College is focused towards developing core strength of the students. Placement is also good here.
