New Update About IES 2020

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

Candidates can check the IES eligibility criteria as given below:

1.       Educational Qualification -

  • The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in engineering either B.E or B. Tech. from a recognized University or an Institution.
  • Candidates having M. Sc. Degree in Electronics, Radio Engineering, Radio Physics and Wireless Engineering as special subjects are also applicable for some limited posts.

2.       Nationality -

  • The candidate should have Indian Citizenship
  • The candidate has a citizenship of Nepal/Bhutan can also apply.
  • A person from Tibet who had permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962, can also apply.
  •  The candidate belonging to India who has migrated from Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

1.       Age Limits –

  • The minimum age of a candidate to appear for the IES Exam should be 21 years.
  • The maximum age of a candidate to appear for the IES Exam should be under 30 years.
  • There is a relaxation in the upper age limit upto 5 Years if a candidate belongs to SC/ST category.
  • There is a relaxation in the upper age limit upto 3 Years if a candidate belongs to OBC category.
  • If a candidate is a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir from January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989, there is a relaxation of 5 Years in upper age limit.
  • There is a relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to Government Servants of following categories.
