IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.
IIFT 2017 was conducted on December 3, for ensuring admission into the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade campuses housed in Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada. The IIFT Exam was set for a total duration of 2 hours and had no sectional time limit.
The paper had 6 sections this year as against 4, that is the usual count. The total number of questions in the IIFT Examination was 114 in comparison to 123. The section-wise analysis has been detailed below for candidates.
General Awareness
GA had questions from topics such as corporate logos, sports, government policies etc. This section was known to be very lengthy and consuming a lot of time in general. Out of a total of 18 questions, 8 could be classified as easy to attempt. The cut-off in this section is expected to be low. 1.99 was the cutoff set for the General Awareness section last year.
Verbal
Verbal Section had more questions on English Grammar identifying phrases/clauses in sentences and punctuation. There are questions also based on analogies, the creation of a word out of jumbled letters, identification of meaning and replacing a part of the sentence by the required one.
This section is believed to have been the toughest of all in 5 years. The cut-off in this section is expected to be over a range of 2-3 marks.
Reading Comprehension
The Reading Comprehension passages were known to be a little lengthy and required careful reading to interpret it in the right way a multiple number of times. The passages were in multiple areas like Entrepreneurship, Business, Literature, Financial Crisis and Business Management.
The cutoff in this section could be set at 3-4 marks.
Logical Reasoning
This section was easy in comparison to other sections. The questions from input and output were a little time consuming and tricky.
The cutoff is this section is expected to be in the range of 4-5 marks.
Quantitative Ability
The difficulty level of the Quantitative Section was higher in comparison to the previous year. The questions were lengthier in this case although in the range of being moderate to tough. Questions from the sequence, coordinate geometry and functions were said to be easy in the examination.
The cutoff is this section is expected to be in the range of 3-4 marks.
Data Interpretation
Data Interpretation was a tough section that added to the existing difficulty of the aspirants. A lot of questions had been demanding hefty and tough calculations. There were about 3 sets of five questions each and one with two. The cutoff in this section is expected to be in the range of 2-3 marks.
The IIFT Result would be announced in the last week of December 2018 after which the IIFT Selection Procedure shall be conducted.
