New Update About JIPMER 2022

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

JIPMER MBBS 2019: Key Changes in the Exam

JIPMER MBBS 2019 examination will see some major changes from this year. According to the Prospectus released by JIPMER, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has introduced some major changes in the examination process, eligibility criteria and reservation quota. The candidates who are aspiring to appear for JIPMER MBBS 2019 must check the details mentioned below before applying for the examination:

Key Changes Introduced in JIPMER MBBS 2019:

1. EWS Reservation Quota:

The institute has introduced 10 percent reservation for the candidates of the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). According to this policy, the institute will be reserving a total number of 13 seats for the candidates of EWS category out of the total 200 seats. Out of the total reserved seats, 10 seats will be provided in the Puducherry campus and remaining 3 seats will be available for admission at Karaikal campus. The policy has been introduced after the Government of India declared a reservation of 10 percent seats for the candidates of the EWS category on February 14, 2019.

2. Qualifying Marks to Apply for JIPMER:

From this year, the candidates of the Reserved and EWS category will require 10 percent lesser marks than previous years to apply for the exam. Earlier the qualifying marks to appear for JIPMER MBBS was 50 percent aggregate combined in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology. However, from this year, the candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward castes require a minimum of 40 percent aggregate in PCB to appear for the examination. The candidates of PwD category belonging to General quota require a minimum of 45 percent aggregate to appear for the same.

3. Examination Cities:

From this year, the candidates can choose 3 examination cities out of a total number of 120 cities listed in the prospectus. Few examination cities have been replaced and the candidates must check the cities carefully before choosing their preferences. In the state of Tamil Nadu, Vellore has been replaced by Tiruvannamalai. Similarly, in West Bengal, Burdwan has been replaced by Bishnupur.

About JIPMER MBBS 2019:

JIPMER MBBS is one of the three Medical Entrance examination conducted across the country for admission in Under Graduate Medical Programmes offered by JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal. Last year nearly 1.9 lakh candidates applied for the examination out of which 1.54 candidates appeared. JIPMER MBBS Application Process commenced on March 6, 2019, and the last date to apply for the same is April 12, 2019. JIPMER 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on June 2, 2019, in an online i.e. Computer Based Test format. The examination will be providing admission in a total number of 200 MBBS seats offered by JIPMER
