IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.
Cadre based Civil services like IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service) and IFoS (Indian Forest Services) are among the most prestigious civil services among all the services. The Government of India has made some changes in the cadre policy for these cadre based services. The selection of the candidates to the prestigious services like IAS, IPS and IFoS is made through one of the toughest competitive exams in India, i.e. UPSC Civil Services. UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2017 exam was conducted on 18th June 2017, and the UPSC result was declared on 27th July 2017 by the Union Public Service Commission at its official site upsc.gov.in. The successful candidates will be appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Mains 2017 Exam in the month of October which is starting from 28th October. After the final selection in UPSC, the service rules of the candidate are defined by the Department of Personnel and Training.

The candidates have to mention the cadre preference choice in the DAF form while appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. The service allocation for the home cadre will be done on the basis of merit, vacancy and preference.
