New Update About BITSAT 2022

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

 As we know, the exam is conducted by BITS Pilani and the application procedure has started on the official website of BITS i.e. bitsadmission.com. Knowing the exam pattern and syllabus of any examination helps students prepare well. It is one of the important aspects that students must be aware of in order to qualify the examination. BITS Pilani releases the official BITSAT Exam Pattern every year.

BITS Pilani has published the BITSAT 2021 exam sample along with the official approval notification. BITSAT 2021 is carried out as a computer-assisted online exam. The question paper contains 150 multiple choice questions that can be answered in 3 hours. It was also released along with the official notice. According to the BITSAT exam template, the question document is divided into four parts: i. Physics, chemistry, knowledge of English and LR as well as mathematics / biology. Candidates wishing to participate in engineering programs at BITS must answer questions related to physics, chemistry, math, and English and reasoning. In the meantime, candidates who wish to take part in the pharmacy programs must answer questions in physics, chemistry, math / biology, as well as English and LR. Candidates can try one of the sections first as there is no time limit for BITSAT 2021. 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. However, questions that have not been answered are marked with a zero.

  • The duration of BITSAT 2021 is 3 hours.
  • The questions asked in the exam are of Multiple-Choice Type.
  • Question paper is divided in four sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Logical Reasoning.
  • There is no sectional time limit to attempt the question paper.
  • Each correct answer would be rewarded with +3 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark would be deducted as penalty.
  • No marks would be deducted for questions that remain unattempt.

The questions asked in the examination will be based on 11th and 12th class syllabus of NCERT. Topics that students have already studied in their class 11th and 12th would be the source of questions. The students appearing in the examination would be recommended to study from their NCERT books for each section asked in the examination. Besides this, the institute would also release the sample mock tests on its official website for students to understand how the question paper is designed.

BITSAT 2021 Marking Scheme

  • The question paper comprises of 150 questions divided among four sections.
  • For each correct answer, students would be rewarded with +3 marks.
  • For every incorrect answer, 1 mark would be deducted as penalty.
  • For questions not attempted, no mark would be deducted.

Every right answer will be given 3 marks, while for each erroneous response, the candidates will be granted -1 which implies that the entrance exam has negative marking. In this manner, candidates must be extremely cautious in picking the appropriate response alternatives. It ought to be a mystery which will be profoundly disadvantageous for them. For unattempt questions, no marks or zero marks will be given.

In the event that candidates can answer every one of the 150 answers within the given 3 hours (without skirting any inquiry), at that point they can attempt an extra 12 questions (four each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry just), in any case, they won't have the capacity to roll out any improvements in the 150 questions they have endeavored before.
