New Update About BITSAT 2022

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani which is the conducting body of BITSAT Exam conducted every year released the syllabus for BITSAT 2020 Exam along with the application form on 11th January 2020. The syllabus of the examination is described in detail in the brochure released on the official website of BITS. Students willing to appear in the exam must ensure that they familiarize themselves to BITSAT Syllabus which contains subject wise topics that they must study to qualify the examination. Students are strictly recommended to prepare as per the BITSAT Syllabus described by the institute as the question paper is designed according to it.

BITSAT Application Procedure for 2020 started, Apply Before – 31st March 2020

BITSAT Syllabus generally comprises of topics of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English and Logical Reasoning. BITSAT 2020 Exam is scheduled to be conducted from 16th May 2020 to 25th May 2020 and students appearing in the exam can refer to these topics to study from in order to qualify the examination. It will be a computer-based test conducted online. Candidates who get to qualify the examination are shortlisted for admission to one of the BITS campuses namely BITS Pilani, BITS Goa, and BITS Hyderabad. It must be noted by students that admission to BITS Goa is done based on the marks obtained by candidates in 12th class.

BITSAT Question Paper is divided among 4 sections comprising of different number of questions in each section. The brief idea of these four sections is given below:

Mathematics

  • This section comprises of 45 questions.
  • The questions are made from 11th and 12th class syllabus of NCERT Mathematics book.
  • The difficulty level of this section lies between moderate to difficult.

Biology

  • The total chapters that students must study from CBSE syllabus is 30. These chapters are taken from class 11th and 12th NCERT books and topics taken from 11th class books hold more weightage than those of class 12th.
  • The total number of questions asked in this section is 45.

Chemistry

  • The subject primarily consists of 18 major topics. These topics dominate the section as the number of questions made from this section is more than that of other topics.
  • Maximum questions are asked from chemical bonding and molecular structure along with equilibrium and hydrocarbons.

Physics

  • There are total 23 chapters out of which the questions are made.
  • This is considered one of the toughest sections in BITSAT Question Paper.
  • The major topics from which the questions are asked are Current Electricity, Semiconductors, and laws of motion.

English

  • This section is further divided in two sub sections namely English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.
  • There are total 25 questions asked in this section.
