Now that the number of students appearing in JEE Main Exam has been increasing with every passing year, the competition has reached to another level. Candidates appearing in JEE Main Exam must set their targets. They must understand the minimum number of questions they must attempt in order to qualify the examination. The difficulty level of Mathematics section has remained easy to moderate for the past 3 years. Some of the topics such as Matrices, Vector 3D, and Determinants hold higher importance as they have higher weightage. Questions from topics such as Height and Distance and Trigonometry haven't contributed in the recent years.
JEE Main Aspirants are likely to score 45-40 marks if they attempt at least 20 questions in Mathematics section while attaining at least 60% accuracy. In order to do so, candidates must attempt all integer questions as these questions fall under the category of non-negative questions. Candidates must give more attention to attempting integer questions instead of single choice questions.

JEE Main Aspirants consider Physics subject the toughest sections amongst all the section as this section includes a lot of lengthy questions which consume more time than expected. Questions containing numerical calculations are usually asked from 11th class while the conceptual questions are asked from 12th class. Candidates appearing in JEE Main Exam would be advised to concentrate on the latter part as conceptual questions are considered the scoring part of the section.
If candidates attempt 15 questions in Physics section while maintaining 70% accuracy, they are likely to score more than 30 marks.

Students who ever appeared in JEE Main Exam have admitted that they found Chemistry section to be the easiest one. The questions asked from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry are of conceptual type. These questions asked in Chemistry section must be given proper and more focus due to direct correspondence with respective options.
If candidates attempt 22 questions in Physics section while maintaining 80% accuracy, they are likely to score more than 60 marks.
