The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the NEET Result a few days after NEET Answer Key is released. The result of NEET Exam will be released on its official website i.e. neet.nta.nic.in. NEET 2022 is all set to be conducted on 17 July 2022. A tie is a situation in which there are two or more candidates who obtain the same marks in the NEET Exam. For such cases, the examination conducting authorities have come up with Tie-Breaker Rules that are applicable in such situations. Only after applying these tie breaker rules, candidates are allotted their ranks.
Biology Marks |
Candidates with higher marks in Biology section will be preferred. |
Chemistry Marks |
In case students obtain the same marks in Biology then marks secured by them in Chemistry are considered. |
Lesser Incorrect Questions |
In case the above mentioned rules are unable to break the tie then students with lesser number of incorrect answers will be considered. |
Age Factor |
If all the rules fail to break the tie then candidates older in age will be preferred for rank. |
The total marks of NEET Exam are 720. NEET Result 2022 will be determined based on the final answer key and final marks obtained by the candidates in the exam. NEET Result 2021 calculation was done using NEET Marking Scheme.

The raw score obtained by candidates in NEET 2022 Exam is calculated using the marking scheme as per the NEET Exam Pattern. Below mentioned is the formula used for calculating NEET Score:
NEET Marks = 4 * Total Correct Answers - 1 * Total Incorrect Answers
NEET Percentile means the number of candidates who have score more or less than a particular candidate. NEET Percentile is also calculated in comparison to the top NEET Raw Scores secured by the NEET Aspirants.
NTA NEET 2022 Percentile Rank is the percentage of scores that falls below a given score in a group. Below mentioned is the formula to calculate NEET Percentile Rank:
= 100 * Number of Candidates Appeared with Raw Score EQUAL or LESS than a Particular Candidate / Total Number of Candidates Appeared in the Exam
NEET Cutoff 2022 is the minimum marks required by candidates to get admission to their desired medical colleges. Last year the National Testing Agency released category wise NEET Cutoff along with the declaration of NEET Result 2021. Only the top 15% scorers as per NEET Result 2021 were shortlisted for direct participation in the NEET Counselling Process under the 15% All India Quota. This year too, NEET Cutoff will be released for All India Quota and State Level Quota.

Besides conducting the NEET Entrance Test, the National Testing Agency is also responsible for preparing and releasing the NEET Merit List 2022 for candidates who have opted for the 15% All India Quota. NEET Result is the sole factor for preparation of NEET Merit List. The list of candidates who qualify the exam will be directed to the DIrectorate General of Health Services for the allotment of seats available under 15% AIQ. The merit list will be made category wise based on the category entered by candidates at the time of applying for NEET Counselling. The details mentioned on the merit list will be merit rank, marks, roll number and percentile. The National Testing Agency will release the merit list with the central and the state counselling authorities which are used for admission purposes.
These respective authorities will then publish the subsequent merit lists mentioning NEET State Rank 2022 as per the mentioned guidelines.
Once NEET Result 2022 is declared, candidates who appeared in the exam will be required to participate in the NEET Admission Process to the below mentioned programs.
No. No Re-evaluation facility is provided to students after the declaration of NEET Result 2023. Nonetheless, students can raise objections against the NEET Answer Key and OMR Sheet once released.
