About the Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Collaborate directly with the founding team on core AI model development and strategy
2. Fine-tune and customize LLMs for specific use cases and performance requirements
3. Evaluate and benchmark different language models to determine optimal solutions
4. Optimize model performance using LoRA, QLoRA, and other parameter-efficient methods
5. Implement and experiment with RLHF workflows
6. Design and execute training pipelines for custom model development
7. Research and implement cutting-edge techniques in model optimization and efficiency
8. Create new AI solutions that solve real-world problems at scale
9. Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members as the team grows

Requirements:

1. Demonstrate deep understanding of LLM architectures such as transformer models and attention mechanisms
2. Apply hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs like GPT, LLaMA, and Mistral in production environments
3. Show strong knowledge of training and fine-tuning processes including data preparation, hyperparameter optimization, and evaluation
4. Use LoRA, QLoRA, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques effectively
5. Implement RLHF and human preference learning in practice
6. Program at an expert level in Python with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and Transformers
7. Understand distributed training and model parallelization techniques
8. Hold a bachelor’s degree from IIT, NIT, or BITS in computer science or a related field
9. Demonstrate strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design
10. Apply a solid mathematical foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and optimization
11. Possess 0–1 years of hands-on experience with deep learning and LLMs
12. Prove successful fine-tuning and deployment of models in production
13. Use model evaluation frameworks and benchmarking methodologies
14. Work with MLOps tools and model deployment pipelines
15. Optimize GPU performance and ensure efficient model serving
16. Work independently and drive projects to completion as a self-starter
17. Stay motivated and passionate about pushing AI boundaries
18. Solve complex technical challenges and thrive in ambiguous environments
19. Debug and optimize complex systems with strong problem-solving skills
20. Collaborate effectively with excellent communication skills
21. Stay research-oriented and up to date with the latest AI developments
