About the Job
We are seeking a quality control (QC) civil engineer with a strong understanding of quality testing for construction materials and familiarity with relevant IS codes. This position is crucial for ensuring that all construction materials meet strict quality and safety standards through systematic testing and analysis.Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a wide range of tests on construction materials such as cement, concrete, aggregates, steel, soil, bricks, and water as per relevant IS codes.
2. Prepare, organize, and maintain laboratory tests and field tests as required by project specifications and regulatory norms.
3. Analyze test results, document findings, and prepare detailed quality reports in compliance with company and statutory standards.
4. Ensure calibration, upkeep, and correct use of lab equipment and testing instruments.
5. Stay updated on the latest IS codes and quality standards for material testing and apply them in daily operations.
6. Identify and flag any deviations from quality requirements, suggest corrective actions, and follow up to ensure rectification.
7. Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and vendors to ensure seamless communication regarding quality issues and test outcomes.
8. Participate in external and internal audits and support the quality certification process.
