About the Job
Key Responsibilities:A. Sales execution & funnel management:
1. Guide the team to generate leads via industrial visits, exhibitions, referrals, and inbound inquiries
2. Ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly machine sales targets
3. Monitor and manage pipeline stages: inquiry → demo → quotation → negotiation → payment → dispatch
4. Drive sales of high-value machines (extruders, fryers, kettles, mixers, conveyors, etc.)
B. Client & territory management:
1. Assign and oversee territories/industry segments (e.g., bakery, snacks, dairy) to sales reps
2. Join major client visits to assist with technical discussions and high-stakes negotiations
3. Identify new factory projects or potential buyers through industry networks, MSME leads, or local trade sources
C. Technical consultation & pre-sales support:
1. Train the team on technical pitching (machine throughput, HP, compatibility, etc.).
2. Provide detailed pre-sales consultation:
3. Utility requirements (power, air, steam, water)
4. Plant layout and space planning
5. ROI calculation vs. manual processes
D. Quoting, follow-ups & order closures:
1. Ensure timely quotation submissions and systematic follow-ups
2. Support negotiations, especially for customized machinery or bulk orders
3. Drive conversions by highlighting machine value and cost-benefit advantages
E. Coordination with production & after-sales:
1. Liaise with design and manufacturing teams for
2. Material and technical specs (e.g., SS316 vs SS304)
3. Production lead times
4. Factory trial runs and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests)
5. Track delivery/installation schedules and escalate post-sale issues or service delays.
F. Reporting & documentation:
1. Review daily visit reports, call logs, and team activity trackers.
2. Maintain updated records on-
i. Sales funnel and stage-wise status
ii. Dispatch and installation logs
iii. Client feedback and deal rejections
3. Submit weekly sales reports, including:
i. Region-wise lead status
ii. Funnel breakdown: Hot/Warm/Cold
iii. Lost opportunities and pending POs
G. Training & motivation
1. Conduct team training on:
i. Soft skills: pitching, objection handling, negotiations
ii. Technical knowledge: specs, throughput, RPM, motor ratings
2. Run performance tracking, contests, and reward systems
3. Lead mock demos and Q&A practice sessions
