About the Job
Key Responsibilities:1. Design and develop the AC electrical layout of utility-scale solar PV systems, including:
a. Inverter output cabling and termination
b. MV switchgear, transformers (11kV/22kV/33kV/132kV), and protection schemes
c. Substation (switchyard) design
d. Earthing and lightning protection systems
2. Prepare SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), interconnection drawings, cable schedules, and equipment layout plans
3. Size and specify AC cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and protection devices per IEC/IS/NEC standards
4. Coordinate with civil, structural, and control system teams to integrate AC components
5. Perform load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies using software like ETAP or PowerFactory
6. Interface with utility/distribution companies to ensure grid compliance and review grid codes
7. Support in procurement by evaluating technical offers and vendor documents
8. Participate in site visits, commissioning, and resolution of technical issues on the AC side
9. Maintain documentation and ensure designs adhere to QA/QC and HSE standards
