About the Job
Key responsibilities:1. Source and procure electronic components from Chinese vendors and manufacturers
2. Communicate with Chinese suppliers via email, chat, and calls to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure timely deliveries
3. Collaborate with internal engineering teams to understand component specifications and requirements
4. Maintain supplier databases and documentation of all sourcing activities
5. Track shipments, manage customs documentation with support, and follow up on deliveries
6. Ensure all purchases comply with company quality and sourcing standards
7. Assist in evaluating and onboarding new suppliers
Requirements:
1. Hold a BTech in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering fields
2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of electronic components like resistors, capacitors, PCBs, and sensors
3. Communicate effectively, especially in written English
4. Work comfortably with Excel or Google Sheets and handle basic documentation
5. Show willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced sourcing and procurement environment
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):
1. Possess exposure to Chinese e-commerce or supplier platforms like Alibaba or Made-in-China
2. Understand basic import/export processes
3. Read and interpret technical datasheets
