About the Job
Key responsibilities:1. System Ownership: Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs that are robust, scalable, and secure.
2. Technical Execution: Identify system bottlenecks and performance issues and implement optimizations as we scale.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
4. Mentorship: Guide junior developers and promote best practices in backend development and system design.
5. Operational Excellence: Improve reliability, observability, and documentation across services; actively contribute to incident handling and resolution.
6. Tooling & Standards: Promote modern tooling and advocate for improved development experience and productivity through automation and continuous integration.
7. Documentation: Participate in and contribute to writing RFCs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
