About the Job

We are seeking an experienced AWS Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications using Java technologies and AWS services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing, AWS services, and Java development. The role will involve working with cross-functional teams to build and deploy enterprise-level applications that utilize AWS infrastructure and services.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Design and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications running on the AWS cloud infrastructure.
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using Java and integrate it with various AWS services.

AWS Services Integration:
Work with AWS services such as EC2 Lambda, S3 DynamoDB, RDS, SNS, SQS, and API Gateway to build scalable cloud applications.
Implement best practices for security, performance, and cost-efficiency in the AWS environment.

Cloud Architecture and Deployment:
Work closely with the architecture team to define and deploy cloud-based solutions.
Set up CI/CD pipelines using AWS services like CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and third-party tools to automate deployments.

Database Management:
Utilize AWS-managed databases such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Aurora to design and implement data storage solutions.

Troubleshooting and Optimization:
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot any production issues.
Optimize cloud resources for better cost and performance efficiency.

Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with other developers, product owners, and designers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Document code, architecture, and best practices for development and deployment.

Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8 and above).
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2 Lambda, S3 RDS, DynamoDB, and SNS.
Strong experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture.
Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with version control tools like Git and build automation tools like Maven or Gradle.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Experience in building and deploying CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.

Preferred Skills:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.
Experience with serverless architecture using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture and message queuing systems like SQS or SNS.
Experience with NoSQL databases (e. g., DynamoDB and SQL databases (e. g., RDS, Aurora).
Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, NewRelic, or Datadog.
Knowledge of DevOps principles and automation scripting.
