About the Job
Key Responsibilities:A. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
1. Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable vendor base for raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect supplies.
2. Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
3. Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
B. Operational Procurement
1. Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs) based on inventory and production schedules.
2. Collaborate with stores and production teams to ensure timely deliveries and stock accuracy.
3. Coordinate with QA/QC for material quality verification before acceptance.
C. Cost Optimization & Compliance
1. Drive cost reduction initiatives across procurement categories without compromising on quality.
2. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and procurement compliance protocols (FSSAI, ISO, etc.).
3. Manage procurement documentation, contracts, and reports in line with audit requirements.
D. Forecasting & Demand Planning
1. Work closely with planning and production teams to forecast raw material and packaging needs.
2. Ensure procurement aligns with demand cycles and promotional plans to avoid stockouts or excesses.
E. Risk & Inventory Management
1. Monitor market trends and risks related to commodity pricing and availability.
2. Ensure safety stock levels for high-risk items and maintain inventory accuracy.

1. On-time procurement rate (OTPR) aligned with production schedules.
2. Supplier performance and compliance scorecard.
3. Procurement cycle time and process adherence.
