We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer who is passionate about clean architecture, efficient systems, and data-driven solutions. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining the backend of our scalable education platform used by students and educators across India.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code in PHP and MySQL
2. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to power frontend and mobile applications
3. Work with Firebase for authentication, real-time database, and notifications
4. Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems
5. Write scalable code and optimize database queries for performance
6. Work on new features and collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams
7. Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and agile development processes
Requirements
1+ years of experience as a Backend Developer
Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL
Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithmic problem-solving
Experience in designing and working with REST APIs
Hands-on experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, FCM)
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and remote collaboration abilities
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not mandatory)
Experience with Laravel framework
Familiarity with Google Cloud Run, Vertex AI, or other GCP tools
Prior experience working on scalable or high-traffic platforms
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud deployment
