About the Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Identify and research potential leads using tools like LinkedIn or CRM databases
2. Build prospecting lists based on the ideal customer profile
3. Reach out to potential clients via cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, or other channels
4. Personalize messages to grab attention and build rapport
5. Ask discovery questions to understand the prospect's needs and challenges
6. Schedule discovery or demo calls with account executives or senior sales representatives
7. Ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads to the sales team
8. Accurately record all interactions and lead information in CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho
9. Keep pipelines updated and maintain lead hygiene
10. Maintain follow-up sequences for leads that are not yet sales-ready
11. Re-engage cold leads periodically
12. Provide feedback on lead quality and marketing campaigns
13. Collaborate on content and outreach strategy improvements
14. Track performance based on outreach attempts, connection rate, meetings booked, and conversion rate
15. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
16. Share insights with the sales and product teams
17. Refine and update buyer personas based on real-world data from outreach activities

Requirements:

1. Hold a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field (preferred)
2. Have 6 months to 2 years of experience in sales, telemarketing, lead generation, or customer-facing roles (preferred)
3. Possess internship experience in a similar role for entry-level positions
4. Be experienced in using CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho
5. Be familiar with prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Apollo, Lusha, etc
6. Be comfortable with email automation platforms and call dialers
7. Understand sales concepts, including the sales funnel and lead lifecycle
