About the Job
Key Responsibilities:1. Equipment maintenance & repair: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery.
2. Installation & commissioning: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines, industrial tools, and mechanical equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide installations. Align and set up motors, pumps, pressure testing and valves.
3. Troubleshooting & fault diagnosis: Quickly identify mechanical failures and apply root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence. Work with electrical and automation teams to resolve electromechanical faults.
4. Safety & compliance: Follow all safety protocols, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
5. Documentation & reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and breakdown reports. Preparation of a plan and workflow to complete the deployment successfully without any lags. Prepare and submit inspection reports, spare parts inventory updates, and work completion certificates. Provide feedback to the engineering team for continuous improvements.
6. Coordination & teamwork: Work closely with engineers, operational team, and other technicians to minimise downtime. Train and guide junior technicians on maintenance best practices. Assist in procurement by identifying required spare parts and consumables.
