Recently, the XAT authorities decided to make a small change in the XAT 2025 exam and 34 new test cities were added for the examination. The decision has been made with an aim to improve the accessibility for the XAT students and providing them with more flexibility to choose the preferred XAT centre. The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) has announced the addition of 34 new cities for the XAT 2025 exam to make the exam more inclusive and provide the students with an option to choose cities that are nearer to their hometown and they can easily take the XAT exam. The newly added venues include Anantapur, Arrah, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bilaspur, Mehsana, Baddi, Chikkaballapur, Davanagere, Hazaribagh, Hisar, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Kurukshetra, Shimla, Ajmer, Balasore, Bikaner, Dhenkanal, Jodhpur, Kolhapur, Nanded, Patiala, Sikar, Ujjain, Karimnagar, Salem, Vellore, Aligarh, Bareilly, Haldwani, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Kalyani.
The students could choose their XAT exam centres by 28th and 29th September 2024 and this time the options were increased as well. The students could select upto six test cities for the exam. With the addition, the students were also given an option to edit the form and add their preferred test cities from the new additions.
Speaking on the addition of the new test cities, Dr Rahul Shukla, convenor of admissions, XAT 2025, said that the move is aimed at better serving the aspirants which is driven by the increasing interest from students.
He added, “To accommodate their needs, we are now allowing candidates to select up to six preferred cities for the exam, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience.”
