The SBI Clerk Recruitment would be conducted in two phases:
1) Prelims Examination:
- The total marks for the exam would be 100 comprising of the sections - English, reasoning and aptitude.
- There will be negative marking.
- Candidates are required to qualify in all the three sections to be able to attempt the mains exam.
- The overall and sectional cutoff should have been secured.

2) Mains exam:
- The duration would be for 2 hours 40 mins marked for 200.
- There are 4 sections in the exam: General and financial awareness, reasoning and computer ability, English and the quantitative section.
- 0.25 marks would be deducted for every wrong answer.
- The interview has been removed, candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of the performance in the exam.
- Sufficient high score holders would be given a job.
