SBI Clerk Main Exam: Overall analysis:
- The SBI conducted the exam for the post of Junior Associates.
- The exam is usually conducted in two shifts
- Morning: 9 am to 11.40
- Afternoon: 2 to 4.40
- The exam usually consists of 190 questions.
- It is totally marked for 200.
- The time duration of the exam is 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Reasoning ability and Computer Aptitude - 50 questions(easy to moderate level)
- Floor puzzles- 5 questions
- Seating arrangement- Circular (5 questions) and Linear (5 questions)
- Straight line puzzles- difficult 5 questions
- Blood relations - 2 to 3 questions
- Inequality- 4 to 5 questions
- Input-Output 5 questions
- Data sufficiency- 5 questions
- Coding decoding- 5 questions
- There were no questions from Syllogism.
Quantitative Aptitude -Total 5 questions Moderate level
- Data interpretation 2 sets (10 questions)- Line graph, table graph (easy to moderate)
- Number series- 5 questions(easy to moderate)
- Quadratic- 5 questions(easy)
- Approximation,Simplification- 5 questions (easy)
- Data sufficiency( 5 questions) (easy to moderate)
- Miscellaneous(Moderate)-Time and work, time and distance, partnership, problem on ages and simple interest.
English Language -Total 40 questions (Easy to moderate)
- Reading comprehension- 2 RC. First was based on under-developed areas of the United States. Second, based on Humanity 10 questions(moderate)
- Cloze questions 10(Easy to moderate)
- Para jumbles- 5 questions
- Spotting errors- 5 questions
- Double fillers with one word which would suit both the blanks- 5 questions (Easy to moderate)
General Awareness- 50 questions (Easy to moderate)
- Country and capitals
- Aquatic animals and Geography
- Abbreviations
- Government schemes and regulations
- Finance stats
- National ministers
- Currency
To get a good attempt in every section, the following must be scored:
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude- 36-40
- Quantitative-24-30
- English-25-27
- General Awareness- 27-30
Overall for both the shifts, cutoffs may vary between 120-140 marks.
