SBI Clerk Careers prelim and main examination for Juinor Associate Post would be organized but selection would purely be based on the scores obtained in the exam. Section-wise strategies are mentioned below:

Reasoning:

  • This section is easy to score and the candidates can do well by focusing on this section.
  • Most of the questions are comprehensive-type reasoning. A paragraph is given and 4 to 5 questions are asked related to that paragraph.
  • Solving passages can help examinees gain good marks in the exam.
  • Candidates must be careful while solving puzzles as if the wrong strategy is used to solve, the entire question can go wrong. 
  • Coding and decoding questions can be easily answered if one chooses to practice regularly.
  • In the Mains exam, this part would come along with the Computer section, so you must save ample time to solve reasoning.
  • Topics to focus on- Venn Diagrams, Seating arrangement, Coding, decoding, problem-solving, puzzles, statement and conclusion type questions.

English:

  • Candidates should focus on errors comprehension and cloze test. Comprehension is time-consuming in this section, so candidates are required to develop their reading speed to manage time in this section.
  • Candidates must ensure this part is well prepared to do really well in this exam.
  • Topics to focus more are: Fill in the blanks, sentence correction, cloze passage, comprehension passage, sentence rearrangement.

Quantitative Aptitude:

  • Aptitude section plays a final role in determining the merit list of the candidate. 
  • In the Mains exam, there are about 50 questions to solve in 45 minutes. Speed must be maintained.
  •  calculations in this section are time-consuming.
  • Candidates can make a strategy on how many questions to be solved as time needs to be reserved for attempting the other sections of the paper.
  • Topics to focus more are the following: Decimals, Fractions, Time and distance, number series, Bar diagrams and pie charts.

General Awareness:

  • Mostly questions of General Awareness are asked from current affairs.
  • Current affairs relating to the banking sector need to be given focus mainly.
  • Questions could also be related to banking and marketing.
  • Candidates must sharpen their axe on current affairs by reading newspapers and periodicals.
  • They can answer only those questions on which examinees are fully confident because of negative marking.

Financial Awareness:

Candidates need to apprise themselves about RBI and its role, RBI s main function, banks in India and their policy rates. A lot other details need to be memorized like:

  • Banks in India
  • NBFC and accounts in India
  • Non-performing assets and NBFC
  • Taglines and headquarters of banks

Computer Knowledge:

  • In the computer knowledge section, about 40 sections would be asked.
  • Questions are asked from the basics of computers, computer organization, input and output device, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Internet and memory orientation.
  • Candidates can easily score in this section.

Interview procedure:

Candidates who qualify SBI s criteria and have scored really good would be selected for an interview by the SBI. You most focus on your skills, confidence, personality and current affairs.

Tips to crack SBI are as follows:

  • The level of difficulty in SBI Clerk is difficult as compared to other bank exams, therefore, the candidates need to work hard regularly.
  • You must focus on the goal, regular reading of syllabus topics, newspapers and preparation.
  • You must take one topic at a time, and practice more questions to make that popular topic your strength particularly in the exam.
  • candidates need to be up-to-date on current affairs.
  • While you revise, invest more on topics that you have prepared less.

SBI Clerk Mock tests:

  • Once you complete syllabus, give mock tests with a time duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes. It would give you insights on how to structure your preparation.
